about

'Fire and Rain' is the first collaboration between Sheffield based song writers Paul Littlewood and Neil McSweeney. The track was written, recorded and produced by the pair in a day at Higher Rhythm recording studio, inspired by the approach that American musician, Jason Molina, took with the Magnolia Electric Co. album 'Josephine'.

lyrics

It took a while to figure out,
The only way we're getting out,
Is with hard work,
Or not at all.

And you were holding out your hands,
And you were trying to understand,
How it all works,
How to get there first.

Through all the fire and rain,
That was coming your way,
All the fire and rain.

It took a while to figure out,
The only way we're getting out,
Is with hard work,
Or not at all.

Through all the fire and rain,
That was coming your way,
All the fire and rain.

Through all the fire and rain,
That was coming your way,
All the fire and rain.
